Two more rate rises this year ‘about right’, Fed’s Fischer says

Federal Reserve vice chair Stanley Fischer said on Tuesday that two more rate rises in 2017, following the increase earlier this month, would be “about right”.

Mr Fischer said in an interview on CNBC, the television network, that the Fed is also watching fiscal policy “very closely”, but that taking a wait-see-approach on how government policy will affect the economic outlook is “the sensible thing to do”.
